# Consensus

## Assumptions

By consensus we mean that validators submit ideas for new solutions and tools by voting yes or no. They will reach a general agreement in the group of participants holding ART tokens. If there is no dispute over the proposed choice of tool construction, consensus is reached. In the extreme, the group will eventually reject the idea.

In the case of decentral-art, the process is formalized and reaching consensus means that at least 51% of validators will agree.
